Our livestock program is dedicated to improving animal production ang supporting local farmers in Malita, Davao Occidental.

As part of the Municipal Agriculturist Office, we aim to strengthen livestock and poultry farming through sustainable practices, health management, and livelihood assistance.

Live Stock Programs Offered

Barangay Animal / Health Service Day

The Barangay Animal / Health Service Day brings veterinary services directly to the communities. Through scheduled visits, we provide animal check-ups, vaccinations, deworming, and consultations to ensure the well-being of livestock and pets in every barangay.

 

This initiative promotes accessible animal healthcare and strengthens our commitment to supporting farmers and animal owners at the grassroots level.

Rabies Vaccination & Vitamin Supplementation

The Municipal Agriculturist Office provides free rabies vaccinations and vitamin supplements to ensure the health and safety of both animals and the community. These services help prevent the spread of rabies, boost immunity in livestock and pets, and support overall animal wellness—especially in rural areas where access to veterinary care is limited.

Deworming and Vitamin Supplements of Large and Small Animals

As part of our Livestock Program, the Municipal Agriculturist Office provides regular deworming and vitamin supplementation services for both large and small farm animals. These efforts aim to improve animal health, boost immunity, and enhance growth and productivity, while also preventing the spread of internal parasites and deficiencies that affect overall performance and well-being. This service ensures that livestock remain healthy, resilient, and ready for sustainable production.

Training & Seminar on Livestock Production

Empowering local farmers and animal raisers with the right knowledge and practices, this training focuses on proper animal care, breeding, nutrition, and sustainable livestock management.


Through these seminars, we aim to enhance productivity, promote animal welfare, and strengthen the livestock sector in Malita.
 

Disease Treatment & Animal Check-Up

We provide on-site veterinary check-ups and treatment services to ensure early detection and proper care for sick or injured animals.


This service helps safeguard livestock health, prevent the spread of diseases, and support the overall productivity of farmers and animal raisers in Malita.
 

 Artificial Insemination (AI) for Large & Small Animals

The Municipal Agriculturist Office offers Artificial Insemination (AI) services to improve livestock breeding and genetics. This modern technique helps farmers achieve better-quality offspring, increase productivity, and reduce breeding costs for both large and small farm animals.


By bringing advanced livestock services closer to the community, we help strengthen the local animal industry one generation at a time.
 

 Swine Artificial Insemination

Our Swine Artificial Insemination (AI) service provides local hog raisers with access to improved breeding technology. This method helps produce healthier piglets, enhances genetic quality, and supports more efficient and profitable swine production.


With this service, we aim to empower backyard and commercial hog raisers with sustainable solutions to improve their livestock and livelihood.
 

Disease Surveillance & Monitoring


The Municipal Agriculturist Office conducts regular disease surveillance and monitoring to detect, track, and prevent the spread of animal diseases within the community.


Through field inspections, reporting systems, and coordinated response efforts, we help protect livestock health, ensure food safety, and maintain a stable local animal industry.
 

 Blood Collection & Tissue Sampling

To support early disease detection and accurate diagnosis, the Municipal Agriculturist Office conducts blood collection and tissue sampling from livestock.


These procedures are essential for identifying infections, monitoring animal health, and guiding appropriate treatment and disease control measures within the community.
 

 ASF Status & Monitoring

The Municipal Agriculturist Office actively monitors and reports the ASF (African Swine Fever) status within the municipality to prevent outbreaks and protect the swine industry.


Through surveillance, rapid response, and continuous coordination with local hog raisers, we aim to ensure early detection, strict biosecurity, and effective disease control.

Malita is known for various cultural arts and heritage of its people and tribes. Gaginaway Festival is celebrated annually every full moon on the month of November and Araw ng Malita is also celebrated annually on November 17.
