Our crop production supports the backbone of Malita Agriculture our hardworking farmers.

As part of the Municipal Agriculturist Office, we are committed to helping improve crop yields, promote sustainable farming practices, and ensure food security across the municipality.

Crops Section Programs Offered

Distribution of Vegetable Seeds

The Municipal Agriculturist Office provides free vegetable seeds to farmers, backyard growers, and communities to support food security and promote home and community gardening.


This initiative encourages sustainable crop production, enhances nutrition at the household level, and helps strengthen local food systems—one seed at a time.

Technical Assistance: Rice, Corn & High-Value Crops

The Municipal Agriculturist Office extends technical assistance to local farmers on the production of rice, corn, and high-value crops.


From land preparation to post-harvest practices, we provide expert guidance, field monitoring, and practical solutions to help farmers improve yield, adopt sustainable methods, and boost their income.

 Trainings & Seminars: Corn, Rice & High-Value Crops

To equip our farmers with updated knowledge and skills, the Municipal Agriculturist Office conducts trainings and seminars on corn, rice, and high-value crop production.


These learning sessions cover modern techniques, pest and disease management, and sustainable farming practices to help ensure increased productivity and long-term food security.
 

Assist Banner Programs via Partner Agencies


The Municipal Agriculturist Office coordinates with national and regional agencies to implement Banner Programs that support local farmers—such as rice, corn, high-value crops, and organic agriculture initiatives.


We assist in program rollout, farmer identification, and distribution of support services to ensure timely access to government interventions that uplift agricultural productivity in Malita.

Monitoring of Agriculture Projects

The Municipal Agriculturist Office actively conducts monitoring and evaluation of ongoing agriculture-related projects within Davao Occidental.


This ensures that programs are properly implemented, resources are effectively utilized, and that the needs of our local farmers and communities are met with transparency and impact.

Malita, officially the Municipality of Malita , is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Davao Occidental, Philippines. Malita is known for various cultural arts and heritage of its people and tribes. Gaginaway Festival is celebrated annually every full moon on the month of November and Araw ng Malita is also celebrated annually on November 17.
